Sardine Head - Portland

Fantastic! So good to have another natural wine bar in town. The food is a tad eclectic, but It works beautifully! They understand traditions, but take risks too! I will be back. And I hope you guys will stay!!!

Come here if you like canned fish. The cafe definitely has a European ambiance. Don’t come here if you’re hungry. This is a place to grab a bottle of wine and share a sardines with your bohemian friends.

To say this place rocks is not enough, its the perfect combo of everything from wine to food to amazing people! Come here if you love life!

Outstanding wine selection, very friendly service, and delightful food. The salt-cured anchovies are like an umami bomb.

Ok...its 10pm, we 're hungry and not much that isn 't a chain is open in the area of our hotel. We see 'Sardine Head ', good reviews, open till Midnight and off we go! It 's in a residential area, but seems like an up coming business/restaurant area. Around 6 tables and bar area as soon as you walk in. Staff is very pleasant helpful, great natural wine selection (we had a Chenin Blanc). The plates are tapas style (shareable) and EVERYTHING was AMAZING. Deviled egg w/sardine, mussels, scallops, legastines... we will be back.
