Snack Le Gardian

We had good sandwiches for lunch, kind of grab and sit-if-you-can. We did secure two seats but in an area that attracted flies somewhat removed from the eating area, which we shared with some other diners. Our order was later available at the counter, another diner brought them to us. All in all, a great lunch and fun to meet others travelers.

Sylvie and Girard have been hard at work to make this a popular local lunch place and they have succeeded beyond any reasonable expectations. The Guardian may be the only snack bar on the planet where reservations for lunch are required! The food is fresh, healthy and very fairly priced. I have eaten everything on the menu and it all delicious. One of the best values you will ever find. If you want to be mistaken for a local (probably 80% of the customers and repeating often) buss your own table. It's a nice touch in a very friendly place.

No hassle, very pleasant place with very nice service. Menu is somewhat limited but this is what one wants for lunch, quality not quantity and at the great price, too. Food is local and prepared fresh while you wait. The choice is between sea food plate (prawns, octopus or mix of both) or meats which lists local varieties of sausages and grilled meats. The best deal seems to be 'Le Menu ' which can be either of those two above choices with addition of a 1/4 L of the local wine and a coffee to round up your meal. Great lunch in great no hassle atmosphere. Worth your visit. However I 'd recommend to take a reservation ahead of time. It gets busy!

Excellent food and service at a very reasonable price. Really enjoyed the assiette met. A perfect meal when you have just done the via Rhone.

Great Food one of the best Gambas I have ever eaten ..Every Dishes looked soo GOOD that I didn't know which one to take. The owners are very nice and welcome you with always a big smile If someday you ,r in Port saint Louis just stop by and hang there for a while , great time for sure The food is Fantastic
