I’m horrible for not taking more pictures…. Things folks may want to know— it was happy hour on Sunday afternoon. 1 2 off a lot of options. I had a fabulous glass of Sauvignon blanc.— appetizers were $2 off (I think we had mussels and chorizo. DELICIOUS.— complimentary hummus was outstanding.— huge servings. I don’t really care about that but my MILs chicken Parmesan was enough to feed her all week. ? it was delicious also.More specific to our meal. I got the seafood stew (I forget what it was called ? but it was outstanding. Could’ve used some crusty bread to sop but that is my only negative. It was fresh and flavorful. My husband got a dish with pork potato and clams and he would say exactly what I said. My son’s octopus and shrimp risotto was also delicious— I’m not usually a big octopus lover but theirs was extremely tender.Only complaint is they only had one desert offering and the traditional one on menu was not available. The mousse was yummy though. Not a cheap meal but definitely priced appropriately for the quality of the food.We will go again.
Appetizer Caldo Verde soups x3 were underwhelming. No potatoes in the base just a weak broth. Entrees, Salmon with Fig marmalade dish, the salmon looked like the same frozen portions I get at Sam’s club, skinny not cut from a fresh Salmon. Small potato and zucchini and squash. Next was the seafood and chicken paella. Good flavor, really small portions for $25 underwhelming. Next Alentejana, traditional dish. Pork was tender and tasty and once again serving size was underwhelming for a Portuguese dish like this. Evening special was tasty but it was a large portion of risotto with about 15 shrimp for $30. We will drive an hour to Palm Coast and spend our $200 there next time around.Service was good and our waiter was awesome.
Was there this evening for New Year's Eve 12/31/23. Big party, 12 people.. not enough table space. 2 of us had to sit on the table ends even though there was at least one free table throughout the time we were thereand we could have been given more space. So already not happy about that. They had some guy there playing saxophone and woodwind instruments and he was awful. too loud. It's a small place. There's no need to have amplified music in there.Lastly, my food was awful. I ordered the paella and the chicken, shrimp, and other shellfish were overcooked and rubbery. Mussels were gritty. Like they took the leftovers in the refrigerator and created something out of it. That was NOT Paella. The waitress was nice, and offered to get me something else. However, she offered after everyone else was done with their food. I did not ask for a discount nor was I given one. My wife and I spent about 80 there tip included and I will not be returning.
Very nice place! We got invited to dinner here by some great friends who clearly know great food. Lots of great choices (some I can't pronounce ? . We'll be back soon to see if they can earn that 5th star!
