Diamante Azul - Ponte de Lima

It was the first time that my man and I went to this restaurant in ponte de lima. the place had a beautiful environment, somewhat more formal than some others we visited. the service was very attentive and of a fairly professional young...Entlemen we had the suggestion of the cook for the day for meat and it was good. a special note must be made for the potato cakes they do with purée. they are delicious. the meat of my opinion is as good or better to find in some other restaurants in the city. the attention of the staff is also worth a note.

Arrived there at early dinner and greeted by a friendly and fairly professional waiter who recommended some fish and meat options that we all tried out because at this time we were a big group. everything was delicious and well presented.

The restaurant could not evaluate high enough. the service was just as impeccable as eating. we had the suppe tuna starter, steak in red wine (so tasty) plus the crepes surprise. the recommended red wine douro was so good that we bought an extra bottle to go home! a wonderful dinner on my birthday.

The six of us had an early dinner last night in the restaurant. we felt a little under dressed as the restaurant is a little formal French style - but the waiter could not have invited anymore. the service was attentive, but not over. the top. the wine list excellent. we ordered a combination of steak and fish that were fantastic. do not get away from the location, it is worth visiting.

We were here on a Sunday evening in early October and at first had the place to ourselves. Our waiters were attentive; they made excellent recommendations; they served us delightful gin tonics; and lastly surprised us with a special dessert. Excellent food; outstanding service; and a lovely walk to from our place in the old part of the City.
