Taste of the Country - Pokolbin

Don't waste your time or money. Very expensive and not worth it. Baked potato was uncooked. My husband ordered a burger with cheese and bacon as extras, plus a bowl of hot chips. The bowl of chips was half full. Coffee was OK and the chocolate milkshake was good. That was about it. Total cost almost $70.00 $69. . The sad part is that we've been there twice before and it was absolutely outstanding. This was a total disappointment.

We enjoyed generous portions of delicious food with friendly service at this restaurant. The Country Breakfast was satisfying and the large coffee was massive! We relaxed on the sunny balcony with blankets and Nanna even shared some wise life advice that made us laugh.

Despite being very busy, we were still served promptly. We decided to share a Ploughman's Platter, which was very satisfying and worth the price. My mom ordered the Caesar Salad with Smoked Salmon, which was a generous portion and also delicious. The chocolate thick shake was heavenly, and the coffee was also good.

We both chose an Eggs Benny for brunch, my husband with salmon and me with bacon. The meals were very big, too big for me but good quality. The eggs were fresh and cooked well as was the bacon, the highlight though was the bread that I think was a pide, it was nice to have bread you could cut through with your meal. Service was good and prices reasonable.

We went as a group of 5 for a late breakfast and the food was beautiful and the best we’ve had since being in Australia. They had a good selection of food and drinks both full of flavour and served quickly. The staff were also very nice. No concerns and we would recommend this place to anyone going to the area
