Bidrage med feedbackThis place is way better than it seems! You really can not judge it by appearance. My husband and I stopped here today to eat a late lunch/early dinner. The decor and ambiance really made us a little unsure of what we were getting into. The menu also seems a little over confident due to its wide range of varieties, offering Mediterranean, italian, brazilian, and American dishes. We were thinking of just ordering a small plate or two and finding entrees elsewhere because we were starting to feel skeptical. We are SO happy that we ended up staying! We ordered a side caesar salad and a meatball small plate to start. Both were surprisingly delicious! I don't think I've ever found a restaurant that offers a good marinara sauce that I actually enjoy until today. The presentation of the plates were also pretty impressive. We ordered the short ribs and sirloin fillet entrees for our meals wonderful!! The presentation, portion size, and flavor was all perfect! Also, our waitress was very friendly, answered all of our questions, and brought us all of our food and drinks quicker than expected. The service was great! We definitely recommend this place!
I 've got a friend who loves this place, so I agreed to check it out with her even though the Yelpers leave scathing reviews of the service. Tonight, the masses were proven wrong. Our waitress was Jen, and she was personable and fun and appropriately attentive. It was by no means crowded, but prior reviews seem to indicate that 's not a factor in the poor service they received. This did not happen with us. My friend had the rib meal thing which everyone seems to love, as did she. For those who describe it as small portions, I would call it appropriate portions. I had the buffalo chicken pizza which was just eh, but, whatever. On the first Saturday of each month, they have a jazz quartet play, and I heart jazz, so that was like the frosting on the cake of a nice night out. My advice: Read Yelp for suggestions as to what to try for food/drink, but give the waitstaff a chance. Also, if Jen is your waitress, make sure she does a little dance for you. Pretty sure you won 't need to ask, but still ...
The restaurant was some what dated. The wine glasses were spotty and not properly cleaned. Th tapas was quite good. The occasional fruit fly dimmed the mood. The waitress was very nice. Based on the website pictures a little underdressed. Multiple dishes not available that were listed on menu a little disappointing!
Just listen to this: I am sitting here at the bar with my wife, and we ask the bartender to put an order in for food and her reply... 'No. Kitchen is too backed up. ' Really? What the hell? 730 on a Friday.... Isn 't this when people come to get dinner? I 'm not mad, just confused. Like why are you open for dinner if you won 't take my order for dinner?! Apparently I am a glutton for punishment, this is the third time I have been here in 3 years and the service has not changed, for the better, or for the worse for that matter... So they got that going for them.... Alright I 'll stop complaining, I 'll finish my wine while I wait my now 45 minutes for todays 'special ravioli ' appetizer ... Must be incredibly fresh and very rare for as long as this thing is taking...
Went here for brunch over the winter and was seriously underwhelmed. We'd been wanting to try this place for a couple of years so we hit it on a weekend this winter and was pretty disappointed. At 1pm we were the only party in the dining room, save for a few people at the bar, and the only ones eating. Despite this for a party of five the food which was breakfast fare mind you took over an hour to come out. The menu tries to give a local flavor but ends up being mediocre at best, and barely warm to boot. It should not take this long to deliver eggs, pancakes, and a couple of sandwiches that aren't out of this world. A couple of examples: Steak and eggs, the steak was medium quality, not grilled but tasted pan fried on a medium heat and lacked any salt or seasoning. Attempts to add Portuguese finesse amounted to crumbling an ounce or two of sausage in the omelet along with some greasy, again medium heated, onions. They seem to have a good music set up but wondering if like Cafe Nicole next door or Al's Pizza down the road, they're just surviving on unsuspecting tourists who don't know any better. Sad to see places like this endure when good places with good food and who try hard like Nosh go out...
