Strizzi's Pleasanton

My wife recommended this restaurant after talking to a friend. This restaurant is located in downtown Pleasanton along the bustling Main St. Main Street is filled with a variety of shops and restaurants. On weekends this place can be pretty crowded. Parking can thus plan accordingly due to the limited parking spaces. The restaurant offers indoor or outdoor kitchen. The interior is beautifully finished with old pictures of years. On this occasion, there was only one waiter who put us in place immediately. Our waiter was friendly and visited our needs. Our dishes consisted of Penne pomodori, which was well prepared. A Fuji apple walnut chicken salad was freshly prepared and well presented. A Chicken Parmesan rounded our orders. All samples were very good and well prepared. The only complaint was the small parts. A very pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend a stop for lunch or dinner.

Overall I enjoyed my experience and the staff was polite, attentive and efficient. My wait was short and the meal was delicious. My only little torment was that the air conditioning was something on the cool side of the scale. Maybe like my siblings and I were the first girls to get empty with the dining area... Nevertheless, warmer clothes were required. Then there was the ubiquitous curse of the flies. We had to move our seats further out of the front window where they assembled, I assume to reconcile ourselves.

Pure comfort dining from a local Italian restaurant. Bread was very good and pasta was delicious. Caramel Apple Ginger Crisp for Dessert was also very good.

Bad day at this great place. Covid means only 2 waitstaff. Means everyone serves everyone and we are ignored. To top it off the oven was not working properly when my batch of chicken Parmesan was prepped. So instead of fork-tender, I could not cut my chicken with a steak knife. I was told that the chef had already tossed one batch. I?m so disappointed in Strizzi?s today. Be sure to check when ordering an oven dish.

I?ve been in this pace a couple times and so far what I?ve tried has great flavor and great service. Also the prices are great. The wooden grill chicken is very good. The chicken it has great seasoning and it?s tender. Love the smash potatoes that this dish comes with.
