The Latin Pig Cuban - Plano

Best Mofongo in DFW area! The Latin Pig serves up the best Mofongo in the DFW area. Do not sleep on this place. We moved to Texas from Miami and have been on the hunt for a good Mofongo and this place is it. We had the Lechón con Mofongo, Carne Frita con Mofongo, chicharrones with tostones and the kids lechón plates with Gandules. Everything was fresh and so good. The Mongo was just right, not dry, generously stuffed with meat (of your choice), the tostones were extra crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the mojo garlic sauce and caldo were delicious. We left with happy hearts and bellies and will be back often…making the trek from Grapevine!

Food and service was excellent! Cuban was delicious. I grew up in northern NJ with Cubans, Puerto Ricans, and Dominicans and the flan here at The Latin Pig was one of the best I ever had!

Excellent cortadito y cafecito and excellent lechón! All the food we ordered was pretty tasty. Definitely one of the best Cuban places in the DFW area. You must try their flan also! Luis was taking care of the whole place and he did an excellent job. Needless to say we will be coming back

Warm and cozy environment and welcoming staff. As good as, if not better than, most Miami Cuban restaurants. Excellent Cuban sandwich, fresh, hot and flavorful as it should be. Rich and filling congri and maduros perfectly cooked. Only missing the special bread for a media noche but why dither when you’re in Dallas. Find this place and make it your regular go-to spot for Cuban deliciousness!

If you're from South America or you like the food from there, I definitely think that you will like the food here. Yes, it is a small spot, but some people might consider this to be a huge selling point because the noise level is minimal so you're able to have a conversation with someone without distractions! If you love chicken, try Pollo Guisado!
