Victorias Cafe - Plainville

I have concerns about the cleanliness of this cafe. My food was inedible. Hope the cafe is able to make adjustments so that it can survive, but there is a lot of work to do.

Nice family run breakfast stop. Our breakfast sandwich, burger, and pancakes were all excellent. We would happily return.

Well hello there ? I had gone to Heirloom Cafe' this morning with my brother in law. (Our 1st time) Karen was our waitress. I believe she is the owner.. What a sweetheart. Friendly, approachable, caring. Food was very good and it's presentation was neat and clean. The Cafe' was renovated and looks beautiful. Lovely atmosphere and likeable staff. Karen?? Bought my husband a dozen bacon roses and a jar of spicy dill pickles for Valentines Day he loves them and gobbled them right up! Thank you so much!!!

First off, the outside presents itself very nicely. Inside was nice and presentable outside of the cold temperature, greasy windows, and clutter in the dining area. Staff was friendly, but only quiet and straight to the point. I ordered an orange juice and water. The orange juice had a butter stain on the rim and the water had obvious pieces of debris in it. After already ordering my food I decided to start reading the reviews and knew I messed up. I ordered a cheese burger medium rare with American cheese and onion. Not an uncommon order right? It came out well done, no cheese, the scraps of what they had left for lettuce, and square chunks of onion...square chunks on a burger? And to top it all off as I was eating I must have picked out 3/4 pieces of hair. Why I didn't stop eating after the first piece? Couldn't tell you. Extreme hunger maybe?Anyways moral of the story, don't judge a book by its cover.Best of luck Hairloom cafe.
