The French Workshop - Plainview

The food is amazing and the staff very helpful and friendly. Today they were out of pistachio muffins (mine and Frida Panda’s favorite and got the corn muffin instead. Needless to say, we were both delighted. So much so that Frida had a hard time practicing her “gentle speak” from excitement.The bignes are delicious! (Both the Nutella and caramel filled ones Parking: It can get very busy at around lunch time, so I try to go later. Today it was almost 4 and still busy though, but whenever I have to park “far” I use it as an excuse to get more treats (since I’m burning extra calories ?

I never write bad reviews, but felt really compelled to do just that today : this place used to be my absolute favorite since day one I basically didn't want to move to another state in order not to lose it.I understand the inflation and everything, but this is ridiculous what they stooped down to little by little their pastries became three times smaller and triple the price and not even fresh anymore. On top of it all I had to wait 10 minutes to be noticed today and when I finally got to the reg they had the nerve to instruct me about the tips and give me a dirty look when i picked a no tip option after paying $10 for one pastry you're supposed to add a tip on top of that?!? For somebody just ringing it up on the register who's already getting at least $16 an hour minimum wage?!? Never thought I would say that but they certainly lost me as a customer.

Terrible experience at the place. Didn't have a good menu. Didn't help people in the line in order. Food was equivalent to getting a Starbucks sandwich. Cake was the only saving grace at this terrible place. Just so not worth the time to go.

Overall love the pastries, deserts and sandwiches here. 1 Star for the macarons I finally decided to splurge on. At $2.95 per cookie I was highly dissapointed in the lack of flavor. They were tender but the passionfruit had zero resemblance to passionfruit and a weird smokey taste, while raspberry tasted very artificial. I had some delicious macarons in my day and these were very underwhelming.
