We had an excellent culinary experience in the blue sky restaurant. eating was great, with a modern casual ambiente. really great background music too! we could meet the owner
The best part was the free cider tasting, which was unexpected. But it was so loud. It was neat to visit, but probably not somewhere I’d go frequently. Maybe for the cocktails, but I had a wine. Cocktails looked really awesome. We had the wagyu beef cheek which tasted very similar to perfect tender beef brisket, and the salmon, which was over cooked and dry, but I feel a lot of places tend to over cook salmon. Overall food was good, I appreciate that everything is sourced locally-ish.
Love the atmosphere and the craft cocktail menu. Was disappointed in the truffle fries because they weren’t hot. I had the Caribbean salad. The shrimp on it was delicious and so was the dressing but it was a big bowl of lettuce that just wasn’t tasty. The mango was chopped so small that you couldn’t taste it. I also think salad greens should be tossed with the dressing instead of dressing served on the side, especially with so much lettuce in the bowl. I’ll be back for the atmosphere and cocktails, though!
This was my second time at this restaurant and the food drinks were just as good as the first time. The owner actually seated me as I waited for my girlfriends. He was very kind helpful (suggesting outdoor seating that wouldn’t be too windy). Our waitress was nice, but took forever to do everything (the restaurant was not packed). I thought that this would no longer be an issue considering they had been open for a couple months now (I initially went in August for my girlfriend’s birthday), but I was wrong. I would possibly return, but you can’t ever be in a rush going here.
