Al Cantoniere - PIOMBINO DESE

I chose the Cantoniere to eat a pizza between friends and I feel a little responsible for their dissatisfaction. Although it is a nice place, with available waiters, the first disappointment has arisen from the 'absolute lack of administration of wines, except for prosecco and beer (besides water and carbonated drinks), that my partner cannot drink, while his organism tolerates a good cabernet or other red wine firm : it is astounding that in a similar place, in the Veneto wine. The second disappointment is derived from the dough of the pizza, not left to rise in a proper lasso of time: the pasta rolled up and formed a ball, evident signal of a fragrant leavening. Good pizza ingredients. I'm sorry, because pizza is thin and I thought it was more digestible.

Saturday night we had to run away from a badly organized pub and we arrived at the cantoniere. We didn't book, the place was full, but they immediately welcomed us, sat down and took orders. With our great satisfaction everything arrived very quickly. We made the usual order of a mixed fried and 3 club sandwiches, with craft beers. All good and sufficiently abundant. Average price.

I've been in this place several times, but every time it's the same story: on 10 and more beers that are on the plug, you're sure that four, while being on the list, are no longer available...beers' choice is subject to a turn over frankly absurd, so there's no way that you can go back to taste a beer that only 15 days ago you had tried and liked, because you don't find it anymore! Moreover, being in covid time, the managers have eliminated the physical lists by replacing them with the virtual ones that are accessed by wifi ...beautiful idea, if not that the wifi only allows you to do that, while in a local that respects the wifi must allow the customer to navigate freely! !

Local very large, the place is always located, good pizza and also sandwiches, friendly staff and super fast

At my age now comforts are preferred, although minimal: to dine with the cutlery stuffed in full style corporate canteen and idem with the tablecloth depresses the consumer. Quality of discreet food, prices a little beyond the average, local little intimate, but just little.
