Locanda Belvedere - Pieve fosciana

Unusual not to be given a menu or have any idea of price, but we nodded intelligently when offered something incomprehensible and enjoyed it all thoroughly. This wasn’t haute cuisine but it was good family cooking. The whole meal including a litre of (good) house white came to 40 euro.

This is the only restaurant in the small medieval village of Sillico. Very very good home cooking, nice terrace for nice dining, another peaceful terrace next to the bar for just a beer or vino frizzante from the tap. The people are really friendly. Added advantage, considering the next town with supermarket is a 20+ min. winding mountain road drive away: while the restaurant is open, the small grocery shop inside is also open, that is: almost always. We got the most delicious peccorino cheese and fresh vegetables from their own production, and blueberries fresh out of the woods! Thank you, Roberta e Clara!

Ristorante con vista panoramica sulle Apuane e sul paese della Garfagnana, offre tramonti mozzafiato. Ottimi piatti con ingredienti a chilometro zero, personale attento e disponibile a prezzi convenienti. Altamente raccomandato!

We are so lucky to have had this restaurant on our doorstep during our holiday. Fabulous antipasti, delicious mushroom soup, the lightest pasta dishes, including the best ravioli I have ever eaten, amazing meats, brilliantly cooked including wild boar and venison and that is before we start on the dessert options. We were also encouraged to practice speaking Italian by the wonderful Silvia. Thanks to all the team for enhancing our trip to Sillico.

Terrible service, bland food that seemingly came straight from the supermarket. Waitress went from ignoring us to getting the orders wrong and the charged us 30% extra for seating . Worst experience of the trip, avoid.
