The Original La Canasta Mexican Food

Although located in a strange area only south of downtown on 7th Avenue, La Canasta offers good food. I've been dining with my family before a Diamondbacks game. I had the tamale and enchilada combination and it contained rice, beans and an extremely large flour tortilla for under $10. The green Maistamale was tasty like the cheese Enchilada. Although I didn't really have room for the tortilla, I tore a few pieces because it was very delicious with rice, beans and cheese. The rest of the family also enjoyed their dishes. The waiter added our chips and salsa without having to fill our water glasses and ice tea.

Very nice family, we appreciate their business. I love the food and homemade tortillas! La Canasta offers families, just like you and my since 1962 a beautiful culinary experience! The green Chile Burros are great!

This small restaurant may not seem like much at first, but it ended up being a fantastic place to dine! I loved everything I ordered (green chili burrito, frybread with beans and cheese, chips and salsa) and the staff was very friendly. I highly recommend giving this place a try - you won't be disappointed!
