Carmen's Famous Cheesesteaks

Tried various cheesesteaks throughout my visit to Philadelphia. Spataro's was by far the BEST. It was great quality, super tasty, LOADED. I ordered the Loaded Pizza (I may be off on the name), which I know is not a traditional cheesesteak, but that does not change my opinion the meat was tender, the bread so pillowy, sauce veggies on point. This sandwich is not for the faint of heart or for those who want to eat everything with a fork. It's messy delicious! Bring extra wipes for your hands. Thank me later. P.S.: Yes, finding a table will be a pain. Is it worth it? Absolutely! If seating is an issue for you, go to a park or take it back to your hotel room. Also, do NOT try to go during lunch hour, it will take forever. Go early enjoy!

This was the shortest line in reading terminal I could hop in because I was so hungry. Spataro’s did not disappoint. It was a bit pricey but the meat had a nice flavor. Luckily for me I found a table right across to sit and enjoy my food and ppl watch.

Lovely Cheesesteak! I had a few others during my stay in Philly but this one was one of the better.

Absolutely love this place. We don't live in Philly, but when we come here we HAVE to stop by to grab a cheesesteak. We've had some from other places claiming that they have the best cheesesteaks, but to me and my family it's this place.

I always like Spataro. Geno's was recommended and I tried it but it was not good. So glad my hotel was close to Reading terminal so I could get a spataro's steak which I had a few years ago and is the kind I like. It's not huge on meat but it's very tasty.
