The Restaurant at the Castle Inn

The restaurant and bar were not open and there was nothing available. Free breakfast was not provided, even though it was advertised as being included at the restaurant and bar.

We were surprised that the restaurant has been closed for several years. there is no food. that's just one inn. we were two nights, the room was comfortable. no mini fridge, which would have helped. the staff was friendly and helpful in. outside of restaurants. unique setting, building itself is very picturesque. could have used in the lobby and in the seating area air conditioning/fan/open windows. the rooms had individual window air conditioners. two steps into our room. there is no elevator.

I took my challenging big city friend to this attractive, but out of the way restaurant, and we were all thrilled. it is an impressive property safe, but the food and service were excellent. we were in the past for functions, but. that was an intimate social dinner for four and worth every penny. in an opposite, which is difficult in good restaurants, this really stands out. had the special (roast beef) and I was beaten out of the park. weinservice was superbe, even had a tasting for my very demanding partner. we will return.

My wife and I have recently denied ourselves here while I spent an overnight stay in the connected castle inn. what an enormous culinary experience. one would not expect to find such a quality restaurant in such a small town. if they are close to the dinner time, in...for dinner they will not be disappointed

By the time we arrived at the hotel we'd done a fair bit of travelling and were disinclined to wonder around the town on spec (even having consulted TripAdvisor. The hotel has a good restaurant and wine list. Early in the season the dining room...was quiet with couples scattered around the dining rooms. Food came at a reasonable pace, was good quality, tasty, hot and served nicely. Not overly expensive.The wine was good, there was local beer, staff friendly and efficient.
