Oyster Boy - Pasig

I don't understand why this restaurant is underrated. They have a lot of oyster dishes to choose from that you'd have go back to try the others. Recommended Oysters! Smoked tinapa roll Crispy ginamusan na baboy

I was in the metro-walk alone that evening and took a table to have a few beers and chill while listening to the live band.  The random table I took turned out to be controlled by Oyster boy. There was no indication of this on the table so I was not to know. So the actual Oyster boy restaurant is actually 200 meters away and obviously they had rented some space for some tables to be close to the band. I ordered some beer and some food and waited in trepidation since the actual restaurant was so far away from my seat. Well here we go! The food could not have been nicer, hotter or fresher. It arrived covered and served to me with love and pride. The beer arrived ice cold. As for the waiting staff? They could not have been nicer, more friendly or attentive. Lots of smiles from them made the experience all the more pleasurable. I would have given a straight 5 out of 5, however they did the dumb thing again. Why? Please Please Please tell me why you serve BBQ pork and no knife to cut it with. Come on Philippines it is time we caught up with the rest of the World and stopped expecting people to cut BBQ with a spoon.. Crazy !   All and all though a really great experience that I would  recommend.

I'm amazed how this joint stood the test of time in the venue as most people prefer the establishments at the center ever since Metrowalk put up a stage for free entertainment. And why not? Oyster Boy is still one of the best restos to have fresh or baked oysters. Affordable too! You can order either by 6 (for less than P200) or 12 pieces (for less than P400). Service is good too as Captain Dan, who has been with the company for 11 years, is still there and will serve you with a smile :) This establishment is highly recommended! See you there... Cheers!

The beef caldereta was good, albeit a little sweet for my taste (i like my viands salty than sweet). The meat was very tender though the carrots were a little bit hard, i had to ask for a knife to cut through them. The crispy palad was good although not 100% crispy. Overall a good eat.
