Mongkok - Paris

After living in Hong Kong for 16 years, I was so excited to discover a Hong Kong style canteen near my house in Paris. The first time I went the food was quite good, and their HK-style milky teas and cantonese soups cooked for hours are still a good pleasure. But a dish they say is a specialty that stir fried rice noodles with beef is never available! You told me I had to order it in advance, so I did one time, and the chef got sick so he couldn't make it. Last time I went with a friend, I wanted to order the Hainan Chicken rice, which usually comes with a special rice with oils and chicken sticks and a soup. They told me they didn't serve it with that rice or soup. Only cooked chicken and normally steamed white rice. This is not Hainan style chicken rice. The roasted beef with onions my friend ordered was just okay, but she wasn't so impressed. I ordered a Ma Po Tofu that was pretty good. I'd go back for the daily soup. But I wonder if they changed their chef, because their menu has changed somewhat and the food quality doesn't look as good as when they were opened.

Very nice authentic Hong Kong style food. You also have Hong Kong milk tea and Yuan Yang. It's quite expensive.

Hehehe! A small restaurant, however, convincing and delicious dishes! The pork through the grapefruit is a real discovery: large crunchy and fatty pieces, a long fruity taste. The soup is good in the style of my great parents version HK. It's a little expensive, on average 15th per dish. The price to travel a little...

I was very happy to have found a Hong Kong restaurant with betting, something rare. The welcome is warm, the smiling and pleasant staff, the sophisticated decoration. The kitchen is delicious. the dishes offered are varied and of quality. All Hong Kong specialties are present!
