Really nothing to complain about the quality and genuineness of the food, served in big portions. Starters are something you could already be satisfied with, but how to resist to pasta and other dishes prepared according to the daily availability of ingriedients? Excellent service along with the pleasantness of the staff. Woderful view of the sea from the height of the hill. Prices could be a bit lower but however they are more than acceptable. Really nice place

I had many meals here as I was also staying in the guesthouse, and I must say that the food was one of the highlights of my trip. If you're looking for traditional, home-cooked southern Italian food, this is the place to go. Il Casello is situated on the side of a mountain slope overlooking the coastline: talk about breathtaking. To top it all off, the staff are absolutely lovely! I'd definitely recommend Il Casello to anyone visiting the area.

We came back to Il Casello after a year and had a great time there. We had lunch on the beautiful terrace with a breathtaking sight on the sea, the Noce family are welcoming and warm people. The food is genuine, all made with local products, simply delicious! There was so much to eat that we gave up after the primo. La signora Giuseppina then brought us a lovely crostata with lemon cream, a bottle of Finocchietto (home made fennel liquor and fresh fruit. Then we had a walk in the beautiful garden. If you want to have a taste of Calabria it definitely is THE place to come. We highly recommend Da parte della bella ragazza ; e grazie per il bellissimo pranzo di oggi !!!

Farm holidays of Mrs. Pina called Il Casello : places to stay for food and holiday lovers. Aubergines, green beans, tomatoes, peppers and courgettes are a treat in store at this organic family farm. Pina and her husband Roro grow produce using time-honoured methods and serve farm-fresh meals by the fire, or out among gnarled olive trees. The apartments are welcoming. The silence reigns supreme. The view is gorgeous with all the shades of green and blue. The view of San Lucido(see the picture) is enchanting: a window on the Tyrrhenian Sea. This area of Calabria, in the province of Cosenza, is an undiscovered delight with heaps to see and do.
