Came for Wednesday night happy hour and I have to say this is the best place in Panama I was in. The food is delicious. Free Balboa drafts during the Happy Hour? How can you go wrong?

I have to go there and try his delicious dishes. Recommended

American travelers. Eat here. Fantastic Spanish tapas. Great prices. It was on Wednesday when I was there, Marmelade. They give every free drink. Yes free drinks. Most locals, but some tourists. Edit: we came back the following day. A Thursday. Jam packed at 8:00. Live music too. Amazing.

The best description of what is served here is bar food masquerading as tapas on the menu but it is so good it almost transcends the genre. And if it doesn't it's still so good you won't care. The croquetas are like frittered clouds, the papas aioli are addictive crispy bits, the gazpacho (salmorejo on the menu) is all freshly chopped ingredients and fresh shrimp (it's more like a ceviche), and even a grilled chicken skewer is moist full of flavor. Holding it all together is an excellent compote of iced sangria with diced fruit just like it's done on the Iberian peninsula. Prices are more than fair and service is prompt, friendly, casual, and responsive, making it among the best in Panamå. No downside except for pesky Panamanian flies who will like the fare as much as you do.
