Tasty - Palmerston North City

Family favourite Chinese restaurant, come here very regularly and they have consistently delivered good dishes and service !! Dim sum and dinner is equally yum! Highly recommend this place! On a side note, if the tofu 花 was served with ginger syrup, it would make the dish 10x better :

Hands down the best Chinese restaurant in Palmy, even better than a lot of other Chinese restaurant in Wellington. Their yamcha and their Chinese dishes have always been very consistent, delicious and tasty. Portions are also very generous. The service and staffs have been amazing and have always been very accommodating even when they’re busy. Highly recommend this place. Do try theirs spicy sour soup, and their Peking duck.

Have dined there often. Wide variety of flavours and dishes. Staff very happy to explain dishes. Service is quick, and follow-up service is obliging. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Excellent choice. Can be noisy on the weekends because of happy families.

Yum cha very reasonably priced, large portion sizes, delicious, lovely friendly and courteous service who didn't rush me and said that what I'd ordered would be enough for one person rather than trying to sell me more. The warm buttery yellow decor and surroundings was clean and tidy. The music was soothing and I felt very comfortable there. I bought one dish more than I normally would in a Wellington yum cha restaurant and Tasty was $15 cheaper but with bigger portions. I don't know about other yum cha restaurants in Palmerston North but I was very happy to discover this one! It's not a flash restaurant but a wholesome one.

It was a very very busy Saturday night so a long wait but definitely worth it. The best black bean beef I have ever tasted. Hubby's squid was deliciously soft.
