Donkey Inn - Palatine

Donkey Inn is a warm inviting little place. The staff is friendly and helpful. Their menu has everything from the normal bar food to those stick to you bones comfort foods. Ribs, Fried Chicken, Chicken Pot Pie, Soups, awesome Salads and Wraps. Enough appetizers to make a meal out of. Oh the Egg Rolls are to die for. Just be sure to save room for the best piece of cake you will ever have or for the hot warm delicious Donkey Donunts. Enough said, I am headed over to have breakfast with one of my favorite Donkey staff members Nina.

Best chicken pot pie I've ever had. The puff pastry on top was impressively puffed and flakey, the whole thing tasted amazing. Top notch root beer floats, too. Excited to come back to try other menu items

Went for the Rib special on a Saturday night, with tater-tots on the side. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone delicious, very little-to-no fat. The sauce was just right for me, not too spicy but a little kick. Tots were good too. Full bar available; I enjoyed a beer with my dinner.

Great food! Great atmosphere...can even bring your kids there. Nice outdoor patio in the summer. Tv's for sports. If you haven't tried it...you're missing out!

We went reminiscing. Liked reading the framed newspaper items at the entrance. I attended a barn dance there back in the 1940’s. Food was delicious! Giving it five stars.
