Bidrage med feedbackThere are limited vegetarian restaurant options on Lamma Island, but I decided to try Bookworm Cafe based on recommendations. The menu had many items with eggs, but the staff was accommodating and willing to adjust the cooking to suit my dietary preferences. However, there were some issues with my order - I asked for soy milk instead of regular milk, but was charged extra for it. The curry dish I ordered turned out to be roasted rice with veggie ham and pineapple, without the curry flavor I was expecting. Additionally, despite mentioning my aversion to raw vegetables, the rice was topped with raw parsley. To make matters worse, the restaurant only accepted cash as payment, which was not communicated clearly beforehand. Despite these setbacks, the staff eventually helped me settle the bill using a Payme code. Overall, while the service was friendly, there were some communication issues and discrepancies in the food quality that detracted from the dining experience.
The restaurant has a lovely and comfortable ambiance. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious and does not include mock meat. However, it is a bit on the pricey side.
The restaurant itself is so sweet with a cozy atmosphere. Staff were super helpful, like veganizing menu items. The food was nice, the portions were generous and everything tasted fresh.
I had a fantastic burger, cheesecake, and iced coffee at this restaurant. The food was of exceptional quality and tasted delicious. It was a hot day, so it was great that the interior was air conditioned. There are also lovely outdoor tables at the back with a view of the sea. I would definitely return!
Green Cottage doesn 't offer vegan dishes by default but they can make almost everything vegan by request. Unlike many other places in Hong Kong the staff at Green Cottage is aware about what veganism is about. I was treated very courteous and advised in all detail with great endurance and friendliness. The food a daily special was very good. Good smoothies as well. Appropriate pricing. WiFi available. However, they need to replace their menu cards. The ones currently in use are seriously gross. Also, extra charge for soy milk, that was a wee bit glumly.
