Royal Thai Palais Imperial - Ottawa

Not exaggerating, this is the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. The general tso and sweet and sour pork had an amazing coating but the pieces inside were huge! Egg rolls are incredible, Hunan dumplings out of this work. Beyond amazing

I was very impressed with this place, the staff are all very friendly, the food is top quality and bursting with flavours an the wait time is not very long at all especially for the amount of people there. I ordered the yellow curry, and hands down it was the best Thai curry I’ve had. Spring roll are also amazing too. Highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone

My boyfriend and I went on Canada day because I was craving pad Thai (lol) . Service was great, everyone was really nice and understanding when we said we just wanted an order of pad Thai. The food was really good, though I don't really have anything to judge it against as the only other pad Thai I've had has been from Thai express. Large portions, fair prices, the only thing that was a bit lacking was decor. Overall, would come again and recommend to others.

I came here with friends a couple of years ago and it made a lasting impression. I LOVED what I ordered (chicken coconut milk soup and a curry dish- I was also with a big group so I got to try a lot of dishes . If you go with a decent-sized group (7+ you sit at a big round table with a turnstile in the centre so you can easily where with friends if that's what you're into. It's a great place in the market if you like Thai. Check it out next time you're down there!

The restaurant has been in the area like 20 years and it is still there...so something must be right.  I don't know the Royal Thai part very much but it seems like Thai cuisine by Chinese is not so authentic, but Palais Imperial is my go to dim sum place in Ottawa.  It is better than any dim sum in Ottawa Chinatown in my opinion.  Good selection of items with friendly service.
