Bidrage med feedbackWhy in a grocery store? This will probably be your first thought as you drive the ferry, but do not make this mistake. Take a quick (and I mean fast as it is right next door) dip around and be amazed. The selection of cheese alone will make you, from Drunken Goat (an excellent cured goat cheese) to St. Andre (only one of many creamy, brie-style cheeses). Then turn around and see the wines, and beers (one of the few places you'll be able to find a Samuel Smith stout and nuts brown ale) and the alcohol (Ditto, the rare Blanton bottles, always sold out, also in Safeway stores in Seattle). Of course there is the bookcase of local marinades and aromas (Girl Meets Dirt, a local herbal farm, has its products here), as well as other new articles such as a strawberry Balsamico vinegar from Italy; and have I mentioned the collection of ceramic pots and pans? So how does this store make it while still selling the usual eggs, milk and such to store your boat or picnic basket, or recover enough leaks in your rented room? The owners actually run a catering business and so use their knowledge of what people want in the usual and exotic. For me I was pleasantly surprised (when I write a review) and would like to go back there... Unfortunately, this place is often only discovered when you leave Orcas. So fair warning, it only takes a short minute to dive and take a look before you get to your B
Conveniently located directly at the ferry terminal. You can't miss it. Appropriate prices and excellent selection. Keep in front of the ferry or before exploring the city.
Great place to get a sandwich and snacks while waiting for the ferry. Cookies and bakeries are also amazing there. One of my favorite places on Orcas Island for lunch.
Surprisingly, prices were very similar to markets from the island!! Large selection of wines, beer, products and meat! Perfect place to stop for the supply!
Really great selection. Convenient place to grab something to eat/drink while waiting for the ferry.
