Outback Steakhouse - Orange Park

The last two times we've eaten at this Outback the salad is just like the ones you buy in a bag at the grocery store. What happened to the juicy lettuce salads chilled to perfection with big slices of tomatoes and croutons? Also, their menu now looks like Chili's. Someone in our party got a ribeye that came out looking like a flat iron or skirt steak. We were VERY disappointed.

Our son gave my husband a Outback gift card and we went tonight. The service was excellent and our wait was very reasonable. The food was fantastic and reasonable priced. Kudos to the manager and his staff.

We went because we had a gift card. We got there and it was pretty busy. They told us it would be 10-15 minutes but they sat us in about 3 minutes. The waitress was interesting. She took our drink order and when we told her we were ready to go ahead and order as well she said she would come back. She dropped off our drinks and then we didn't see her again for about 10-15 minutes when she finally came back to get our order. I ordered my steak medium well and it came out well done. My husband ordered his medium and it came out medium well. Plus we ordered a bloomin onion and it was really small. It only took up about half the plate. Overall everything was just average. Nothing outstanding which is sad because the food and service used to be great!

My husband and I decided to head for dinner and went straight after work to beat the rush. It was dead when we got there but they still made us sit and wait 10 minutes for a table even though at least 5 empty tables were visible from where we sat. Then we waited forever to get a waiter. We had to stop one of the other waitresses to ask where our waiter was. Finally he came and got our drink and food order, didn't explain where he was or what was holding him up. Then we had to ask him for everything... refills, napkins, A-1 sauce. Plus both our steaks came out wrong and had the wrong side dishes with them. And this guy didn't apologize for anything. Next time we'll ask to speak to a manager or ask for a different server.

I love the food! The steaks are always delicious. Their fries are my absolute favorite too! The seasoning or something that they put on them is so good! They even have a $9 steak now so it's actually affordable. The only down fall is that if your trying to go on the weekends then you'll be waiting awhile. Plus they stopped call ahead seating till after 8pm.
