Bidrage med feedbackThe dining experience was average. Some of the meat was fatty and the prices seemed a bit high for the quality and portion sizes. The food was on the sweeter side, with less meat than expected. It appears that the restaurant used to be a buffet where customers could choose their own ingredients, but now they have a set menu. The staff were very friendly. Overall, it was decent and I would consider returning if I happened to be in the area, but it's not a place I would go out of my way to visit.
I don't remember ever giving a bad review. we were very disappointed today. this is a place we enjoyed in pastness. the food was edible, but left much to wish. bark very fat and fried rice did not taste fresh. they can no longer make their own plate. this can be due to improved food safety precautions. but not real plates, cutlery or paste. all were served in disposable containers. service was minimal. they write their choices on a sheet paper and eat will then be delivered to their table in take container, no wonder whether eating was in order or if we have something else, literally not available service. as if there was no interest in customer service. today we are looking forward to eating there and are so disappointed that we do not want to return. it was just sad.
I was excited to find a Mongolian grill with bread on this side of the city. Upon entering, we were instructed to choose a table and were told that a menu would be brought to us. We were given two paper menus, two pens, and a laminated menu. The server explained that we could customize our own dishes by selecting our ingredients and sauce mix. Once we made our selections, we had to bring everything back to the cashier. It was a bit odd, but we proceeded. There were several people waiting to take orders, so I sat in the restaurant and had to wait in line again after waiting to be seated. We placed our order and waited about 10 minutes at the table without any drinks or utensils. My husband wanted to move to another table, as we were seated right next to the restroom. I asked if we could move, and the server said yes but the table needed to be cleaned first. We waited next to the table while the cashier finished up his tasks and then he looked at us and continued working. After another 10 minutes, my husband became impatient and asked the person preparing the dishes to have someone clean the table. She agreed and informed the cashier, who eventually cleaned the table. However, instead of bringing us our drinks and utensils, he just stood there. Frustrated, as we had been waiting for nearly 20-25 minutes with no service, we decided to leave. A party of three next to us also left, as they had not been acknowledged either. While I understand that times are tough, this restaurant needs more attentive staff and should focus on improving their service rather than increasing prices. We drove to Genghis Khan on Trask and Garden Grove Blvd and had a pleasant experience with only three staff members working. I would give zero stars if possible, but unfortunately, that is not an option.
Large portions and amazing eating. I recommend this place to anyone interested in mongolian bbq
I look forward to going back there once COVID restrictions are lifted. I enjoy selecting my own dishes at the food bar.
