I arrived at Tacos Oscar after hearing about them from the Michelin guide. The place was easy to find and the line wasn't bad. Ordered the brisket, papa, and pork taco with a bean tostada along with chips and salsa of course. They use a lot of Morita here and present it in many different ways. It's a lovely dry Chile that is not used enough in Mexican cuisine. The salsa was one of my favorites that I've tasted in the bay instantly and paired perfectly with the chips. The brisket taco was nice and juicy and my favorite out of everything was oddly enough the bean tostada. The flavors of the different types of beans with the radish and the Chile oil was a force to be reckoned with. I highly recommend this place and the high value you get here means you can enjoy it all the time.

This is a super popular place in the area, so when I saw no line which I think is rare , I was super excited to try it. They had 6 tacos on the menu 2 meat, 1 vegetarian, and 3 vegan. I got the chicken left and pork right . The chicken was flavorful and juicy and the pork was mediocre. For all the hype this place has, and the price $5.50 for the chicken and $5 for the pork I was disappointed. Also, for a slow day where there were a total of 3 customers, service was pretty poor. I probably wouldn’t come again unless I was with a vegan friend. Also, FYI all the seating is outdoors, so don’t come on a rainy day :

This place is recommended in the Michelin guide. It is good but not 5 DLLS a taco good. It’s too expensive and you can find similar tasting tacos (if not better) in the area for less. Glad I went but won’t me coming back.

Order at the window and wait at a table. Nights can be a long wait, but came faster than the alleged 35min wait.Beware of parking on nearby side streets— if there’s glass covering the ground and it looks like there’s been recent car breakins. There have been! Got broken into just around the corner 2 cars in.
