I love going here, especially for the dates. the honey data are so good, the seller is the same provider that goes to the market of the builders of the civic centers. they also have some pretty sweet offers on mais here. the production is great, the only thing I wish I could find more often is cilantro. there is also a tamale lkw selling two different types of vegan deceptions. veggie and mushroom, I did not try the mushroom, but the veggie is quite good.
This was my favorite place to eat lunch on fridays! I usually brought my lunch, but not on friidays. so much to choose. vegan fools at one stand. there is also a vegan Mediterranean standing, the falafel sandwiches, falafel salate, hummus plates and sold in the winter split heaps or lensuppen. It is highly recommended to check their stand. Another great stand is this Indian food stand based from monterey, ca, which sells various vegan naan packaging. I think they offer spinach, mixed veggie and aubergine. the price was 7.50 for a package that I felt a bit expensive. but the naan is made fresh there and is amazingly good. always a long line. they also offered vegan curry dishes that I had never tried. hmmm. what else. large harvested bread company sold there (which I think is made from berkeley or emeryville) the delicious fresh made brot. oh! right next to the Mediterranean stand and the tamal stand there are these two types that sell afghani brote and dives. I think his named Bolani-Brot is filled with pumpkin, potato or spinat. so good. really good baklava also there. no matter if...fantastic bauernmarkt!
This restaurant was my favorite place to have lunch on Fridays! I usually brought my own lunch, but not on Fridays. There were so many options to choose from. There was a vegan stand with a variety of options, including falafel sandwiches, salads, hummus plates, and soups in the winter. I highly recommend checking out this stand. Another great stand was the Indian food stand from Monterey, CA, which sold vegan naan wraps with options like spinach, mixed vegetables, and eggplant. The price was a bit high at $7.50, but the fresh naan was incredibly delicious. There was always a long line there. They also offered vegan curry bowls that I had never tried before. Additionally, there was the Big Harvest Bread Company selling delicious, freshly made bread. Next to the Mediterranean stand and the tamal stand, there were two guys selling Afghan breads and pies. They had Bolani bread filled with pumpkin, potato, or spinach. And let's not forget about the really good baklava that was available there. Overall, it was an incredible market with a fantastic selection of food.
I find this restaurant to be friendlier than the Lake Merritt market, despite its smaller size. It still has everything I need as well.
