Yau offers typical Malaysian dishes with a chinese impact. the ambiente is open, spacious and welcoming - at the entrance you will be greeted by a typical small shrine with offerings and the children of the owner. you feel comfortable right away. the lady who served us was very attentive and friendly. we had very tasty, authentic roti canai and chicken spiese with peanut sauce. as a lead I decided to laksa (curry noodles with seafood) and my guide to the national court nasi lemak. the laksa was excellent, especially the seasoned were great. the nasi lemak I would have imagined differently due to my time in Malaysia, but also this variant seems to have been good according to my companion. all that was too fair - especially the drinks were cheaper than you know otherwise. all in all our visit was a great experience!
The food was very delicious! the wan tan suppe well seasoned. the duck a tasty bite. owners are very nice and attentive. Here we come back!

Unfortunately, the fish was out on the day of my visit.The aromen and the preparation reminds very strongly of the cylonesian cuisine, but this is not a surprise, as eating in malaysia is significantly influenced by the Indian cuisine. Thai influences I couldn't notice despite the description in the menu.The lambcurry was well prepared but remain doubtful at the quality of the meat (a lot of small bones and fat).
