Bidrage med feedbackAfter visiting the Wall, we were craving a pub lunch. However, the hotel we ended up at was not actually a pub. I can only review the lunch we had there. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. The "bar" was simply a small room off the hallway with tables and a six-foot long bar. Unfortunately, we were disappointed by the dry and tasteless burger we ordered after waiting longer than we had anticipated, especially considering there were only a few other customers present.
The food at this restaurant was outstanding, and we have no complaints whatsoever. We want to give compliments to your Chef for such delicious dishes. There was a great variety, with plenty of vegetables, and the desserts were absolutely delicious.
During our four-night stay at The George, we were delighted by its picturesque setting near Chesters Roman fort. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and found our room to be clean and comfortable, with ample hot water and a great shower. Our room was cleaned daily, and the meals served were superb. Breakfast offered a wide selection of freshly prepared food and drinks, while the evening meals were delicious, generous, and beautifully presented with a diverse menu that left us spoiled for choice. What stood out the most was the friendliness, helpfulness, and courtesy of the staff, who worked tirelessly to ensure guests had an enjoyable stay.
We spent nights at the George. We had breakfast every morning, lots to choose from. We also had two evening meals, all the food was cooked to perfection. The staff were polite and friendly. After being out all day it was a lovely place...to return to for a swim in the pool before dinner.
As we were staying in the hotel, it was the place to start with a good hearty breakfast before spending the day exploring. And a lovely place to come back to in the evening for a pre-dinner drink in the gardens.
