Porky's Bbq - Northumberland

I visited the restaurant on December 3rd, 2023 and was surprised to find that it was very cold inside. There was only one small log burner in the center which was not enough to keep the place warm. Everyone dining there had to keep their winter coats on. This was not the birthday experience I had hoped for. The food was decent, but the cold temperature was a major drawback.

Just came out here for a dinner on the pig out deal absolutely amazing value for money! And I must mention and say a huge thanks to Emeri, my partner has an allergy and forgot to mention this when ordering however Emeri made sure everything was all sorted and ensured the meal was remade without any contamination whilst being extremely reassuring. Outstanding customer service here and the food is delicious. Will definitely be returning. Couldn’t recommend more!

I went here tonight with my partner, and we have come here countless times, the food is always amazing!! Emeri’s service was outstanding, and he remade my whole meal with no extra charge because I forgot to tell him an allergy I had. He was so reassuring and kind and it makes the world of difference! The australian waitress was also amazing and it was very nice to meet a fellow Aussie! Will definitely be coming back, amazing as always!!

We found Porkys as we were staying nearby they weren't very full when we arrived but you could see it was getting a lot busier as we left the staff were really helpful with moktail suggestions for our son and they were very attentive. The food itself was huge the portions were massive especially the mac and cheese which was amazing. They had a great kids menu and although we didn't try it they did a Sunday roast as well. We all had puddings and I had the cookie dough which was more a warm cookie but I enjoyed it and my son loved his ice cream and Sherbert. The cocktail bar next door looked good as well I didn’t catch the name of it tho

This is quite a handy restaurant for me as it’s down the road, but every time I go every single staff member looks miserable and unhappy to be there. Customer service is awful and unfriendly! To avoid the misery of waiting staff in person I’ve turned to delivery which is been average at best. The food is soggy and microwaved and this latest order came way after closing time because they forgot the order so had to do it quickly after close. 90 minutes late!!! How ridiculous. Would recommend anywhere but here to be honest.
