Bidrage med feedbackLarge small restaurant/ winery. amazing weeping and eating and service were great. not constrained or intentional. cute outside too cold in the night we were there, but with warmer weather it looks like a great place to hang out.
Cameron was a joy! He proposed weeping for our food and was very knowledgeable. eating was also very good.
Small place in Ghent. Hard to find. Food was very good, as was the service.
We were there in the late afternoon, after lunch before Happy Hour there were still two or more other tables occupied in this small place while we were there. My husband, not much of a salad guy, wants to go back for the kale salad, it was that fresh wonderful! We also enjoyed the tuna bite nachos hummus plate. We shared a new world and sweet wine flight as well. It was just enough and offered an opportunity to enjoy several wines, we found a couple to try when we return. We plan to go back and have the dessert fondue some wine with a larger group. I have my eye on the lounge around the fire pit! Afterwards we enjoyed a harbor cruise just 10 minutes away, it was a wonderful pairing how we celebrated our anniversary.
The food was quite good. However, the reliance on online menus accessed by QR scan is inconvenient, especially for senior citizens. Yes, the wine list is changeable and extensive, making printed lists a challenge, but to have to look at a huge array of choices in tiny print on one’s phone is kind of tacky. Also tacky was having NO Chardonnay available by the glass. You have to order a full bottle. What if the dinner wishes to have two glasses of wine (not the promoted flights), one white to start, and a red with the meal? And yes, you can take the unfinished bottle home, but what if you don’t want the rest of it? Service was a bit slow but these days we cut the staff some slack because of the employment situation generally. Staff was friendly and helpful.
