Loka Kitchen - Nice

I went here with my friend to grab something to eat and catch a match during the Rugby World Cup. We ended up waiting almost 90 minutes for our food after ordering. After about an hour the manager came over and asked if we had eaten to which we said no. We then watched as he then had a very animated conversation with the kitchen, which made us think our order hadn’t even been given to them. 20 minutes after that my food arrived and I then questioned if my friend’s food would be coming too. This was met with confusion and uncertainty and it turned out they had forgotten his food, which he had to wait another 10 minutes for. Their way of making it up to us was for the wait was to provide us with a complimentary drink but at that point the damage had been done and I think the manager knew it. Throughout the night we noticed the kitchen staff impatiently ringing the bell for service and plates of food left ignored at the pass, while the serving staff got everyone drinks. At one point the kitchen staff even seemed to be coming out of the kitchen to find servers to get the food out. I think they need to work on their service as it all seemed a bit of a mess and was the main reason our food was so delayed. It’s a shame because when the food actually arrived it was really, really tasty and some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. It’s about the only reason I’ve not given them 1 star.

Extremely rude main waiter, very slow service and even when asked for the bill they walk off and serve other tables. Ignorant is the word that springs to mind. Drinks grossly overpriced. Definitely avoid if you’re visiting Nice.

Great place for apéritifs ! It has a great environment and the food and drinks really good. Truly recommend it !

If you are looking for a Latin/Miami /kill Bill atmosphere a sophisticated brown, with as much competent as friendly staff and a good atmosphere you have found! Unique on Nice, see one of the best bars in the city... Why all this? The cocktail menu is creative and executed with passion, the kitchen menu is very varied and affordable, tacos are really good without fault, everything is well done! Negative point: no... Come on, one: they close at midnight and a half, but we want to spend the night!
