My friends and I were so excited to come into this establishment because we heard it was one of the best Rainforest Cafes. We got in on the wait list, which we were told would only be about a 20 minute wait. There’s a long line and we’ve all worked in restaurants before so we were empathic when it became 30 minutes later. Until we noticed every single person in line was being sat before the three of us. Everyone had reservations, apparently, and now we are at the hour mark of waiting for a table. We confirmed with the hostess and they said it would be a 5 minute wait and she was apologetic about the wait so far. Okay, five minutes? We could wait that long. Until it became 10 more minutes. I asked again and she said five more minutes. Now we are hearing that people with reservations in front of us were coming in with no tables available for them. It was a bit ridiculous that we couldn’t be told the truth and we wasted so much time waiting for a table. We usually don’t wait so long but we were on vacation and wanted to experience this so badly. This was one of the things we wanted to cross off of our bucket lists. Meanwhile, the three of us were hungry and saved our appetite for this restaurant all day. We’ve never had it before and thought it would be a fun experience. We finally left and they were like “thank goodness” when we turned around and left. Management needs to do better at staffing and taking reservations walk ins to avoid such an occurrence from happening. Also, we finally left at the hour and twenty minute mark, which was a half hour before they closed, and they still had people coming in for reservations. Why are people able to make reservations so close to when the restaurant closes? It didn’t quite make sense to me.
Exceptional cuisine with an extensive variety of dishes to choose from. Be sure to try the Philly steak and the layered pasta they are my personal favorites. This restaurant is a must try, with an atmosphere that perfectly complements the dining experience.
I had not been to Rainforest Cafe in many years. I was very excited to take my young daughter for the experience. I as disappointed to see how much it had changed. The thunderstorm part was not like it used to be. It was short and unclimactic. The food was mediocre are best. I was quite disappointed overall. Our server was really nice though.
Rain forest cafe is always one of our favourite places to go with the kids. I find the options for kids are really good but the options for adults are limited. However, what we did order was very good. The restaurant is also very pricey. Overall kids had fun their bellies were full it was a great experience
