Off The Hook - Newport

Good food, right opposite LA Quinta and Holiday in Express. My husband had the Blackened Blue Cheese Burger and I had the Prime Rib Dip. The scoops were delicious and cooked for perfection. The staff was quick and friendly.

AMAZING oysters!!! The other food was excellent, but I can't say enough great things about the shooters. $2,50 for a HUGE super fresh, almost 'krunchy' local oysters. These were probably the best raw oysters I've ever had and I had a LOT. I was so excited about her that I actually forgot to take photos. I am a little skillful posting this because I want to keep the information in this place to reach from the masses!

Update: We visited the OTH on Monday evening (3/7) and got no good service, so I took a star away. The waiter was charming, and there were hidden fees. Our server wasn't clear at all. It was a bit disappointing to be honest. I prefer a friendly service. Great food, great service and beautiful atmosphere. I highly recommend this place. We usually stay in La Quinta and it is directly opposite. You have a nice beer selection, beautiful salads, and the prices are very fair. They were very accommodating in the past when we brought our HUGE dog to the motel with us, and they served us on the terrace.

I was not aware that there was a restaurant here first. After sitting, it wasn't long until our food arrived. The poutine was excellent and different from most I had. Then the salmon Alfredo was also quite good with the use of local salmon, I had also added to it roasted garlic.

This place is absolutely amazing! The food is delicious, the price is good and the staff is great! I wish they served breakfast. My husband and I ate there twice during our stay because its so good!
