If they could somehow calm down the stairs to the top floor, the noise level for the customers near the foot of the stairs would reduce

We had the festive menu with the turkey dinner. eating was as good as usual. boiled for perfection. very busy, but we didn't have to wait long between the curses. a really good evening.

This was our 2nd visit in the last month as we really enjoyed our first so couldn't wait to go back. The food was very good on both occasions, we had a mixture of starters, all good but my favourite was the scotch egg then Sunday roast which was all presented nicely and hot, again mixture of deserts but all good. Beer and wine good, not badly priced, restaurant décor is nice and the biggest bonus for us was that its dog friendly, Will defo be returning Shaun Raven

Food was fantastic as normal staff was lovely also very festive

Not exactly my first visit, but I was introducing a friend to Chestnut Inns/The Three Blackbirds ... we chose the festive option (feed price menu, crackers etc. and it was FABULOUS. Really great options on all courses, everything we had was spot on (the Turkey with trimmings amongst the best I have ever had and friendly and efficient staff topped it all off. Fantastic.
