Time Cafebar - Newark and Sherwood

We had a great meal at this restaurant. The staff is very friendly and the menu has a good variety of options. It's a pleasant place to dine with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly patrons.

Came in a few weeks ago for some freak shakes which was very nice. Been back since to have the platter with my father which was really nice too. Can not fault the place, staff was nice food was good, only thing I would say...is the cafe needs some colourful furniture instead of just brown and white.

Nipped in for some quick lunch, had a toastie and lemon meringue pie, both were really nice and the toatie came pretty quickly. I nip in quite often as a group of of us for sandwiches and cake. They only down fall is it...can take some time in the que waiting to be served as the till point is quite small and can be a wait on the hot drinks which causes a delay in the whole que. Other than the wait we alwaya enjoy the food, were not usually in any rush so doesn't bother us too much.

During a brief stop in Sheffield, we stumbled upon the Crystal Peaks shopping centre while waiting for an appointment. Although the centre housed familiar chains like M&S cafe and Costa, I preferred to support local cafes whenever possible. The staff at the cafe we chose were friendly and welcoming, making our visit enjoyable. We treated ourselves to two large Hot Chocolates with all the toppings. Seeing a ‘Chip Butty’ on the menu brought back memories of my childhood in Glossop, prompting me to order it. Unfortunately, when our food arrived (which we had to take away due to our impending appointment), I was disappointed to find that the Chip Butty consisted of pale, skinny fries on a muffin instead of the chippy chips I remembered. The flavorless fries and my wife’s Cheesy Chips were underwhelming, leaving us unsatisfied. Despite the pleasant atmosphere and service, the subpar food was a letdown. The only saving grace was the delicious Hot Chocolate. Maybe ordering a larger meal would have been a better choice, but I’ll never know.

This cafe should be called. you will be waiting a long TIME cafebar Never known anywhere take minutes to bring out slices of toast ..., by the time it comes you've drunk your tea. Very overpriced... been here a few times in...my lunch hour and only order toast as anything else means I would be late back. Rubbish ... sort out your staff you obviously need more in the kitchen
