Its my go to place when I want to eat french toast in NYC.Food: 5/5

Nice old Tavern.Burger was fine. So was the service. Place was midday busy and we were efficiently served.Prices will be steep, especially if you are from out of town. Either that or maybe I am just reaching the part of life where everything seems expensive.Kid-friendliness: It's not kid unfriendly. However, I don't think your kid would have a great time here. Probably more of an adult setting here.

I don't usually leave reviews but I wanted to shout out Walker's for being kid friendly. I wasn't expecting a kids menu so I ordered the chicken tenders off of the appetizer menu for my 6 year old. He was offered a kids portion with fries perfect! We were also given crayons to color on the white paper covering the table. The adult food was also solid pub fare. The ambience was friendly and cozy. Prices were fair. The cherry on top was the delicious warm brownie a la mode. Our expectations were exceeded.

The meatball appetizer tastes like it came from a frozen box with canned sauce. The shrimp scampi was not cooked with any salt so it was very bland. Service was really good though. Great people, meh food, good atmosphere.
