Bidrage med feedbackI first learned about Seaworthy after visiting Grand Banks in New York City. I'm from LA and had never heard of Seaworthy until that trip. I made sure to visit their restaurant in NOLA, and it exceeded my expectations! The oysters were hands down the best I've ever had. It was hard to resist ordering more, as we had already ordered our entrees. Their happy hour deals are great and the cocktails were delicious, perfectly balanced. The non-alcoholic cocktails were also tasty. We also tried the mussels and scallops, both of which were delicious. The mussels could almost be considered an appetizer, while the scallop dish was quite filling. I can't wait to go back and recommend this place to others! Our waiter was fantastic, and the hostess was very friendly.
The restaurant had a trendy layout and decor, with a charming courtyard in the back and a covered patio on the side. We were pleasantly surprised to discover a happy hour menu with half-priced oysters. However, our server lacked customer service skills and showed minimal interaction throughout the evening, resulting in slow service. Despite this, the food was delicious with light and fresh fried shrimp, perfect French fries, and a flavorful scallop entree. The portion size for the scallops was a bit small for the price, and the grits were slightly overdone for our taste, but overall the meal was well-balanced and tasty.
We stumbled upon Seaworthy by chance and it turned out to be a great find. The oysters were fresh, the cocktails were fantastic, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was lively. We ended up staying much longer than we had planned, indulging in more oysters than we thought possible. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to New Orleans.
When eating in new orleans there are so many great seafood restaurants. we tried seaworthy because it was open in Thanksgiving night and had an opening. we will not return. the drinks were quite delicious, but had too much ice. I liked the shermans beat, and my man enjoyed the holy water. we had the crawling claws for a starter, and they were pretty good. I have the oysters and scallops for my escape and was extremely disappointed. it should be an appetizer. there were 3 scallops and 3 small oysters. the oysters tasted bad, and I couldn't eat them. the scallops and the brot were good, only not enough. my man got the black drum-curry special, which was good. our server did not seem too happy to help us and ready to go. he brought us this one without asking us about dessert. we were really deposed by his demeanor and decided to eat dessert and have more drinks at other places.
Love the setting. price for money is debatable. some dishes were great other soso. the service was right, but cold. I also didn't like the price for kitchen staff. they can cancel it, but who would interfere. the prices should be sufficient to pay the kitchen staff adequately. which stranger fees can come a restaurant to show so-called competitive prices. they add it to bill as tax, so that they also end up paying tips on this part of bill
