La Vero Pizza - New Haven

This restaurant is a convenient option for a quick meal near the hospital. It may not be as popular as the larger pizza joints in New Haven, but it does offer decent pizza at reasonable prices. In addition to pizza, they also have options like wings and sandwiches. They offer a discount for check-ins and the service was good. One unique touch is that they offer pfefferflacken to customers who order pizza, which are typically found on the tables.

They have delicious pizza at a great price! they are so friendly. I always command from here for me or for personal meetings. they have amazing steak and cheese pack with fries. really good price! and their cheese pizza offers are fantastic. every penny worth. they must try the spinach, ricotta mushroom pizza to die.

Such a delicious pizza! Completely satisfied with my order. It came quickly, hot, and obviously fresh, and the delivery driver was really, really nice. I searched for a good buffalo chicken pizza in New Haven, and was super satisfied with La Vero. :

Honestly, I ordered because I really wanted a cheesecake. That was my main thing, then I got the pasta platter and it comes with a salad and “hot rolls”. So the first thing I saw was the cheesecake and when I looked at the side, there was fabric lint or something on it like it touched something. I called the store and was told I can get a free cheesecake with my next order. (Not happening) then I move on and the break rolls were a little bigger than a tater tot and I got 3. Then I check the food, temp inside and outside where different. The ravioli was literally so dry on some corners. $21 home to trash. Next time I’ll pay more and order from a legit spot. I tried the food, God strike me dead, this is gross. Either their ricotta cheese is weird or it’s sour. I’ll eat the salad and toss the rest. SERIOUSLY, don’t buy from here. Or don't order what I ordered.

Be sure to ask for a menu as there are more options available than what is displayed at the counter. They serve delicious pizza either by the slice or whole. I tried the medium meatball pizza and it was amazing. My only complaint is that it was a hot day and the A/C was either not on or not working. The staff was very friendly and my order was prepared quickly and fresh. I will definitely return when I am in the area again.
