Persimmons Waterfront Restaurant

We make annual trips to New Bern for our anniversary and have eaten at Persimmons every year. The food service and overall experience never fail to deliver 100%.

Delicious, as always. The food is tasty and presented beautifully. A wonderful treat for visiting family!

While the staff was responsive, it was loud, the food was expensive for what we ordered, and overall not great. It wasn't awful, but not great.

We have eaten here many times and the food was very good. We were disappointed this trip. The mahi was way overdone and the mini peppers/microgreens on this dish just do not work. Very little flavor. The sea bass was a little overdone, as well. The scallops were done perfectly but the pasta was so overdone it was almost mushy and the sauce was uninspiring. The waitress was over the top canned verbiage and toooo fake. We will go back because we know what it can be. Just a bad night for the chef and the restaurant as a whole.

The service was slow. eating came cold. very small portions. excellent location and view. Maybe we caught one at night.
