Du Golf Des Dunes

Stopped here for lunch on Saturday, played golf on this course a few times but never used the restaurant before. Really good food, had veal which comes with a great veggie mix and dauphinois potatoes. Very tasty indeed, probably the best food we experienced all week end. Very comfortable setting with great views over the course, highly recommended.

This course is now in excellent condition and is now better than the Les Pins course near by. Don't be put off by the imposing views of the 1st and 18th from the club house as it's not that bad when you get on the course and the 18th is an excellent hole to finish on.

Our party of 13 found this course to be fair but challenging. There are 6 PAR3 which tends to help the score card.

Played here for many years now and never fails to disappoint. I have watched this course mature over the past years and its a good test of golf. They have changed the 18 green position now so a very careful shot is needed to attain the flag. All round good this year although the greens were a little slow. Had a sandwich in the bar afterwards, very good.

Played Les Dunes end of April. Was a little worried after reading a review saying it was more like a pitch and put course. Nothing to worry about. We played off the white tees making it over 6000 yards. Really nice course and club house. Greens were okay, a little patchy in places but the rest of it in great condition. All of our group really enjoyed the round and to a man would play again. Not much water but lots of trees, very difficult to find your ball if off line. We didn't eat there but the food looked and smelled nice. The after round beer on the terrace in the sun was very much appreciated. Great day out.
