Update august 2014: in summer there is also the hugo on the map and it is excellent here. the quality of the kitchen in the calves is very good: fresh, modern, light and creativ and there are also excellent desserts. the karls is in my opinion the best restaurant in the district. After at least 6 visit in the carls I therefore raise my rating on 5 stars. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I was curious about this new restaurant. it happened that within few days I was twice with friends in the karlen to eat and give me a very good impression. the new owners have renovated and missed the clinking a stylish but also a little strict environment. the large windows were decorated with dark curtains, so the brightly painted walls are mostly gray in daylight. the noble, like gilded looking lights hang a little too high to break the rigorous. in the evening the restaurant is much more attractive. the greeting was kind-professional. on the drink card I missed a hugo and a non-German rosé, the German rosé is usually too mad to me. my companions had ordered a white burgundy who liked them well. at the first visit I had chosen the squid carpaccio with estragonvinaigrette (8,80 eur) as an appetizer and as a main course the zander with beurre blanc on marinated chicoree and risotto (16,80 eur). the squid carpaccio was visually very successful, pleasantly light and the estragonvinaigrette was excellent. the zander was on the outside and delicate inside, so in front of place, and the risotto was also very good from the consistency, there was nothing out on this yard. only the marinated chicoree didn't taste me right, so I would book this dish under taste. at the second visit, I decided to take the millefeuille from the tafelspitz (7,80 eur) as an appetizer and the homemade spinat ricotta ravioli in bärlauchfoam on mangold vegetables (12,80 eur) as a main dish. that was a good choice. I found both dishes very appealing, perfectly made and also tastefully very good. Conclusion: the service is friendly, attentive and flott, the quality of eating is good too good. the waiting times for eating were short on both visits. the carls makes the impression of a very professionally run restaurant. I feel the price-performance ratio so good, appetizers are 6 to 9 eur, main dishes are 11 to 22 eur. I am glad that we have a restaurant of higher category in our quarter with the karals and hope that it will last longer than the predecessor. we will definitely come back!
Super tasty looks expensive from out but it is not nice operation and genuine suaber toilets three times thumb high
