One of my fav places to go for a good whiting sandwich

Do not order online on SUNDAYS. They will charge your card even when closed. This place is closed on Sundays. Today is August 25th 2024 and the door was locked, lights was off when I came up there. I’ll take the lost it’s okay.

Straight hood with crappy service. Chicken was good but nothing special.

I ordered a whiting fish sandwich and a side of potato salad (my usual) the serving size is always filling and usually includes 2 large filets fried to perfection. The potato salad I ordered was about 2 tablespoons but I let the young man working know they must have gotten down to the last bit when they prepared the side and he kindly replaced it without hesitation. The fish is well seasoned and perfectly crisp and the potato salad was a delicious I ate the 2 tablespoons and the replaced side lol. I had enough food to eat in a second setting, it was great and a real Nashville staple although I hear there are other locations I don’t think they can compare to the Jefferson st location.

Always satisfied when I visit... The food is always on point!
