A J Gators - Moyock

Had a hair in my sweet potato fries. My burger had no flavor. Waitress took the sweet potato fries back and just put the same ones on the same plate.

Upon entering, the hostess was not very friendly, she definitely didn’t look like she wanted to be there. We were seated quickly, and waitress took our order in a timely manner. We were a little concerned about the food since it did take a while for it to come out, but surprisingly it was steaming hot and very good. I got a Gator Burger w/sweet potato fries and my husband had a Crispy Chicken Sandwich. The chicken sandwich was a split breast that was breaded and fried, not a chicken patty. Overall it was a good meal and if we were in the area again we would consider going back.

We frequent this location quite a bit, and have never had an issue until Saturday night. I will say; it was not the bartender we have typically seen in the evening/nights when we stop for dinner and drinks. She is always super welcoming, friendly and keeps us coming back! We have never popped in on a Saturday night, but we figured we'd give it a shot.And boy, was the atmosphere a lot different; even the music was barely audible. Also, it was extremely quiet for a Saturday night; there may have been 3 or 4 other patrons. It was at this time when a group of about 8 guests arrived. The dark haired gal behind the bar immediately seemed flustered that she could hardly focus on adding one last round and closing our tab.Then she yelled at one guest for bringing in an empty bottle that was sitting next to her vehicle outside. The entire bar stopped and looked at that one female. VERY unprofessional to say the least. I would have left immediately being spoken to that way, but the patron tossed the bottle and joined her friends.At that point, we felt uncomfortable and finished our drink quickly to leave. There seemed to be some intense animosity from the bartender that these guests came in which was shocking because the bar was completely dead for a Saturday night!We will return when the regular bartender is there, as we have never had an issue at this location!

This is the Moyock location. It is much smaller, but never crowded.
