If you are looking for wilderness with comfort and personalized service, then this place is it. Great hosts! Nearby activities: Very close to Baxter State Park and nothing else. The best place to recover from backcountry tenting (in case that went wrong) and instant food. Food drinks: If the food is this good, you do not need a choice (and there is none). Really good and simple. Rooms: 4

I like everything about this Lodge, starting with Lindsay and Mike, as they are good people and wonderful hosts! Been here twice and will most certainly return.....great location, wonderful setting, comfortable rooms AND you will be pleased with the food, too!

Great room overlooking Shin Pond. We were able to enjoy the loons calling . We had great conversations with other guests. The food was a pleasure. Nearby activities: We enjoyed good hiking and paddling. Other folks on the pond were friendly. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Quiet
