Cellar Door - Mornington Peninsula

We went to this restaurant with friends for lunch and we are now extremely disappointed. The service was atrocious, with the staff simply dumping items on the table and walking away, leaving us to figure everything out. The wait staff seemed unaware of what dishes they were serving. The food was possibly the worst we have ever tasted. One dish even had chunks of Philadelphia cream cheese on it. I couldn't even eat my seafood linguine, as it was inedible with a thick, flavorless green sauce and served cold. When I didn't finish it, the wait staff just took it away without asking why. My husband's steak was also overcooked. I could continue, but I won't. This restaurant desperately needs a skilled chef. Overall, a terrible experience and we won't be returning.

I arrived for lunch with my wife between the restaurant's open times. We were there to have a final meal together before I rejoin the military, marking a big change in both of our lives. Unfortunately, we were not welcomed warmly. Instead of a friendly greeting, the lady in glasses simply stared at us and asked, "What do you want?" I am only giving this restaurant one star because I cannot give it zero.

The food at this restaurant was like something out of a 1970s horror movie. The Brie on toast was served on cold, moldy-tasting bread. The meatballs were garnished with shredded carrot more suited for a Bahn mi sandwich. The cabbage rolls were served on a bed of shredded carrot and tasted like they were drenched in sweet and sour sauce from a packet, topped with oily water. The pizza appeared to be frozen and didn't quite hit the mark. Be cautious when ordering here.

It was embarrassing taking staff to Dromana Estate for an end of year celebration. All the food was from a supermarket freezer. It was disgusting. There are many great places on the Peninsula, do not go here.

Tapas style food straight from the freezer. Calamari so bad, we couldn’t eat it. Pizza was really bad cheap frozen supermarket **** that you wouldn’t buy. Worst meal ever eaten on the peninsula. On a brighter note the wine is good, nice staff and venue.
