Bidrage med feedbackGreat food Best Mille Feuille that I have ever tasted. The desserts were so good we ended up ordering every single one of them. As a vegetarian I was surprised with the choices available. Croute au fromage, Croute au champignon and the fondue...are simply to die for.
We asked for the menue four times.... no reaction. They were running in and out either with a basked of bread or a pepper mill or.. why not use the other hand for bringing the menue?? We were totally ignored never experienced something like...that. We just left with a big laughter after minutes. Can you imagine if we had ordered something.....it would have been dark before we could have left!
A good place for a friendly lunch or a simple drink and pie after a nice walk on the Dent de Jaman or Rocher de Naye.
The chef used to work in a fine-dining restaurant in Belgium and has now taken over this mountain chalet. It shows! The menu is based on Swiss favourites, is kept simple but the quality is great. Careful, the restaurant is not accessible during the winter months when the road is closed.
We tried to reserve a table for 4, a Thursday evening. They had a group at noon, so they were overwhelmed and didn't want to serve anybody for the rest of the day... Well, an other swiss classic: great sites, wonderful locations, but terrible service and so expensive.We finally went the day after, for lunch. The restaurant was (and remained) half empty but they installed us in the cold veranda, despite our request to be inside. And we paid 90 CHF for a plate of cold cuts (food was good) and 6 glasses of local white wine... Honestly, they should choose another job, they don't have a clue....
