If you are a native Italian and love Ligurian cuisine such as squid and octopus, you will probably enjoy this restaurant. If you’re visiting from anywhere besides Italy and hope to enjoy an authentic Italian meal, you aren’t welcome here and you’re going to know it. Although the restaurant depends on tourism, the staff is disdainful and the chef resents having to cook for you. He lists about 10-15 dishes that he won’t make and doesn’t want you to ask him about. If you order something he doesn’t feel you should be eating,(even though it’s on the menu) like pasta with Bolognese sauce, he will serve you spaghetti with a 1/2 cup red sauce and about four tiny pieces of chopped meat. He’s mad you ordered it and he wants to make sure you know it. There are so many other great restaurants in Monterosso to go to. Enjoy your dinner somewhere you’re wanted.

Loved watching them cook! Great bread and fresh green salad to share. House wine is great. I had swordfish with peppers and it was good. boyfriend had pici pasta with mussels, squid etc and he loved it. The lemon tart was fabulous!

The food was really delicious! It came pretty fast and it was also hot. The waiter brought us a big bowl made of clay which contained our pasta. They put the food in our plates and left some in the bowl so we can put more after we eat. You have to wait in a line to be put at a table, but no more than 5-10 minutes, depends on your friend group or family’s size. The restaurant has an interesting history which I recommend looking into!

The food was pretty good, but the service wasn't. We never got our drink and didn't have the chance to ask for it until we had already paid.
